About Us

The Elks Lodge in New Lexington, Ohio has been part of this community since 1899, making it one of the longest-standing charitable organizations in Perry County. The current building at 109 S. Main St. has served members and neighbors alike since 1966, and that staying power says everything about the people who show up week after week to make it work.

What keeps people coming back isn't just the programs or the events. It's the conversations. Reviewers consistently mention that the staff and volunteers here are genuinely engaging, the kind of people you'd want to talk to long after your plate is empty. Every dollar that comes through the door goes right back into the community, no exceptions.

Friday nights bring out the best of it. The fish fry has earned a loyal following for its fresh food, fair prices, and volunteers who treat every guest like a regular. If you've never been, that's your starting point.

What We Offer

The lodge runs a Friday fish fry that draws crowds from across the county, with food made fresh by dedicated volunteers who take real pride in what they serve. It's the kind of meal that costs you less than a fast-food run and leaves you far more satisfied.

Beyond the fish fry, the lodge hosts member events, charitable fundraisers, and community programs rooted in the BPOE mission of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. Membership opens the door to a network of fellow Elks across Ohio and the country, along with regular social gatherings at the South Main Street hall.

Whether you're looking to get involved in local giving, find a place to gather with like-minded neighbors, or simply enjoy a good meal at a fair price, the lodge has a place for you.

"The Elks Lodge in New Lexington was founded in 1899 with the current 109 S. Main St. location opening in 1966. They are a charitable organization that makes sure that every dollar that comes in goes right back out to the community. They offer members a bar that is comfortably appointed and a patio deck with a view. Their contributions to the community are vast over all these years. Donations include but are not limited to the Perry County Cancer Alliance, the fund for Cerebral Palsy, Boxes for Seniors, Coats to the Hospital. They support all local schools athletic departments, bands and yearbooks. The Veterans of Perry County, the Perry County Food Bank, the Fire Department, the Sheriff Department. They funded the signs at Veterans' Park. The 4th of July committee is responsible for the bands and all of the money that goes to the fireworks. The list continues. Please join the Elks in making New Lexington it's best. Dues are reasonable and you will be helping to make the community even better. Stop in with a member or become one if you aren't already."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
